Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Jerome S — 18 Feb 2008
A very, very strange film. Certainly a precursor for horror comedies, as it wildly switches between the two. Perhaps because of this fusion, I found the film highly uneven. But there are still lots of classic moments throughout, particularly the blind man sequence.
I'm not too sure I was happy with the Monster talking, or with the addition of a musical score, but people think this far surpasses the original, so I guess it's just me.
