Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by María G — 16 Aug 2011
The first sequel to the 1931 version of Frankenstein, "Bride" continues the story that left audience members scared and breathless. Boris Karloff returns as the Montster and Colin Clive returns as Henry Frankenstein.
Once again it isn't as scary as it once was yet "Bride" delievers an emotional story and great acting. The storyline is solid, presenting a twistful ending. The special effects, costuming and makeup are wonderful.
"Bride" is one of several sequels that bring together a single storyline that tells a powerful story of power and the ability to create life. If you loved the original, then this is a must-see.
