Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Richard L — 22 Oct 2011
'The Bride of Frankenstein' is the first sequel to the 1931 classic 'Frankenstein.' It is based off of a chapter in Mary Shelley's original classic novel. 'The Bride of Frankenstein' is a rare sequel that is equally as good or even better than the original.
This is a film that greatly blends dark comedy with horror. 'The Bride of Frankenstein' boasts stupendous performances from Boris Karloff, Colin Clive, and Ernest Thesiger. This is one Universal's greatest classic monster movies, if not the best.
'The Bride of Frankenstein' is surely a masterpiece on many levels.
