Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by John W — 28 Oct 2013
A sequel that not only matches the original, but manages to surpass it. With a more fleshed out characterization of The Monster, and intriguing antagonist who plays well as Victor's (well with regard to the inexplicable name change in these films then it's Henry's) "Dark Side" of sorts, a story with more meat to it,and a tone/spirit closer to that of Mary Shelley's masterpiece it places itself among the ranks of both the greatest sequels and horror films ever made.
