Empire, T2, X2, the rare sequel that surpasses it's classic predecessor. Bride of Frankenstein was the first to do this. An interesting and fun opening featuring a character based on author Mary Shelly telling her husband and Lord Byron that there is more to Dr.
Frankenstein's tale than they know. And indeed the first movie ends halfway thru where the book would be. Boris Karloff is even better this time around as director James Whale outdoes himself in this amazing monster movie.
Nearly 80 years later, it still holds up.
