The childs plays series makes the complete shift to black comedy in this, the best film in the series, the bride of chucky, a hilarious, twisted, inventive and very clever film, and one of the best horror comedies ever made.

This was the film that along with scream three years earlier, reinvigerated the dying slasher genre, and made everything fresh again with a very knowing, postmodern sense of clever laugths, for instance look out for jasons hockey mask and freddys glove in the police lock up where chuckys remains reside.

Taking the series in an entirely new direction (no stalking hapless youngster andy any more, chucky seems past that now) instead it starts with tiffany, chuckys girlfriend from back when he a was human serial killer, retrieving his bits, putting him back together and bringing him to life once again (this time with a stitched up frankenstien look to him) after a lovers spat, chucky kills her and puts her soul into a female doll, then after hitching a cross country ride with an unknowing teenage couple to get to chucks grave containing an amulet that will give them the power to become human again, we then get natural born killers with dolls, as chucky and tiffany go all mickey and mallory, letting the heavy body count blame fall on the young lovers as they go.

This really is a brilliant film, a witty black comedy, a splatter film and even a wierd romance which includes some very odd, doll on doll action as chucky actualy gets some(tiifany: chucky are you wearing a rubber? chucky: Am I wearing a rubber? look at me iam all rubber!) with a bit of NBK thrown in, and an awesome soundtrack.

If you havent seen this because you dont like horror films, or even the other chucky flicks, give it a go, im sure you'll be susprised, everyone else just pick up the dvd now, especialy if you have a strong sense of humour, because you'll struggle to find a more fun piece of pure blood splattered entertainment.
