Review of Bride & Prejudice (2004) by Uche O — 17 Oct 2008

A lovely Bollywood movie. I haven't seen one in years and watching this was like coming home and a favourite niece is all grown up. I can only say that I enjoyed it on a level that I have not enjoyed movies on for a long time.

The story line was great and the acting was really good. The only gripe I have were the dance numbers that were sung in English. Felt sorta unnatural to me. As if some of the majesty (so to speak) of Bollywood music got lost in the translation.

Other than that, it was nigh on perfect.
