Review of Brick Mansions (2014) by Brandon W — 10 Sep 2014

I don't get why District B13 had to get a remake from it. But they made a movie, and I really like the original. Brick Mansions is an all right remake but it was pointless. The parkour scenes are not as good as the original, and the edits in this are unnecessary and not done well which almost makes me thought that I can't see what's going on.

It's not even as interesting as District B13, but with all those major flaws, it doesn't make me as mad as the other remakes which ruined the originals. There was effort in this, I thought the acting is good even though David Belle's english needs a little tweaking there.

There are some funny moments and the conversations between the two leads are nice even though some of them are stuff I heard from before. If it was its own movie, I would've like it fine despite the flaws.

But consider that it's a remake of DIstrict B13, Brick Mansions is a mediocre attempt that could've been better.
