As the movie opened, it seemed like I had seen this film already. Minutes later, sure enough, it's a remake of the French film District B13 aka "Banlieue 13". (No, it's not a sequel to District 9.
) Interestingly, not only was Brick Mansions written by Luc Besson (Taken, 3 Days To Kill), it featured David Belle reprising his role from the original film. Sadly, there won't be a sequel with Paul Walker as Brick Mansions was one of the star's last films.
