Review of Brick Mansions (2014) by Ryan B — 25 Sep 2014
Alright so we got Brick Mansions which most of us know that it is a remake of the original entited District B13. Brick Mansions is about a detective who wants to clean up the streets and put away the guy who killed his father.
The acting isn't great but it's not the worst and it's especially not PW's best either, it's the kind of movie that doesn't take itself too seriously and even in the special features Paul himself says this one was about just having fun, and this film definitely delivers on that.
It stars the late Paul Walker (R.I.P.), David Belle who is also in District B13, and RZA. The action is very good and a tad over the top which I loved and Paul actually does quite a bit of hand-to-hand combat throughout the film.
I haven't seen all of Paul's starring roles but I have to say, this one was one of my favorites next to of course the Fast & Furious movies, along with Running Scared and probably Into the Blue.
Anyway BM was very good in my head and there wasn't many dull moments in it which I really liked. I already have it on Blu Ray and I'm glad I do, I will definitely watch it more than twice. Highly recommended.
