Review of Brick (2006) by Jacob A — 13 Dec 2010
Featuring a stellar performance from rising star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rian Johnson's independent debut Brick works on many levels. Whether viewed as a homeage to past noir films, a slick, stylish, entertaining and darkly humourous mind-game or one of the best exxxample of Modern Noir/Neo-Noir of past and recent memory, Brick works. In other words, unique.
5 Stars.
