Review of Brick (2006) by Danc. — 29 Sep 2006
This film seamlessly (and fearlessly) transfers film noir to an unlikely setting - it takes real chances and it succeeds. Especially good are the small moments of humor that remind the audience of where they are, without any of the wink-wink cleverness that could have undermined the atmosphere.
A fascinating, visual inventive, and impressive film.
