Review of Breathless (2009) by Eduardo C — 14 Sep 2012
Michel Poiccard played by Jean-Paul Belmondo, is on a violent crime spree, and even seems insane as he's seen talking to himself while driving a car. He fascinates in his knowingly self-destructive all or nothing approach to life.
But he becomes obsessively attached to a cute and lively young American, who seems innocent. But by the end of the film, it is he who appears somewhat valiant, and she who seems a villain. Don't miss Godard's existential new wave crime romance masterpiece.
