I think that his is one of those movies that any aspiring filmmaker that can learn from. Its rebellious, sexy, lovable and full of the energy that permeated Godard's early films. Breathless shows how simple it can be to make a film and that you dont need to have the backing of a studio executive to put your vision on the silver screen.
One of the best quotes Jean-Luc Godard has made on Breathless is this: "All you need to make a good film is a girl and a gun".
