Review of Breathless (1983) by Paavo I — 05 Aug 2009
I've finally begun to understand Godard and it took a couple of films. His idea about films is that all you need is a guy, a girl and a gun. And this one utilises diffirent ones at diffirent parts.
It starts as a old-school Hollywood cautionary gangster tale, then takes a 180-turn to become a talky romance movie. Both are interestingly played out in the finale.
