Review of Breathless (1983) by Jacob S — 24 Apr 2010
My first adventure into Godard was his first New Wave film, Breathless. Not knowing exactly what to expect, and hearing Godard isn't for everybody, I was a bit nervous in watching this. However, it turned out to be a great film that was somewhat slow paced, but fun and gripping all the same.
Michel is a great character, full of hormones and self centeredness, getting himself in trouble, and heartbroken. I'm looking forward to the great catalogue of films that Godard has to offer.
