Review of Breathless (1983) by Gabriella F — 05 Sep 2013
Breathless is a film that cannot be watched once - it's value is too great in cinema, direction, and interaction.
The New Wave "jumping" style throughout the film cuts out any of the dragging, unnecessary scenes that is so common today in cinema.
Goddard knows where the most important scenes are to be shot, each having it's own significance. And Every scene is vital in this film.
Then his characters, Michel and Patricia, have that love affair that is so real and common, that one feels like he or she is invading on their lives with a hidden camera.
