A really subtle, classy film that deserved a lot more attention than it got. The plot develops in such a fashion that all the characters' actions are believable and you have a level of sympathy for each and every one of them, whatever reservations you might have over some of their actions.

Felicity Jones is completely convincing as the 'accidental' Lolita, and Guy Pearce gives one of the better performances of his latter-day career as the older teacher struggling to resist her charms.
