Breathe, is a funny movie about an unfunny illness. Uplifting without being maudlin, it is expertly directed by first time director, Andy Serkis (yes that one). Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy (as Robin and Diana Cavemdish) inhabit their roles not just act them.

Supporting actors such as Tom Hollander (as twins Bloggs Blacker and David Blacker), Hugh Bonneville (as Teddy Hall) and Stephen Mangan (as Dr. Clement Aitken) are the standouts in the supporting cast.

The pace of this movie never drags and takes you many more places than one would expect to go in a story about severe disability. At the start of the closing credits are real life clips of the actual people Robin and Diana Cavendish and their son Jonathan.

Jonathan Cavendish cofounded Imaginarium Studios with Andy Serkis. This film is dedicated to Robin Cavendish.
