Review of Breaking the Waves (2014) by Eric T — 04 Nov 2007
Lars Von Trier's beginnings of experimental cinema that ultimately began to usher in his Dogme 95 movement. Similar to Cassavetes work, the hand held cameras, great acting, and improvisation pieces fuel the slow moving film into a moving and upsetting piece of truthful cinema.
