First half is slightly boring. Overall it's a pretty good film. I empathized and sympathized with Bess. Soem may find her too naive and may not get anything out of her character but it's pretty simple: A "not-so-right-in-the-head" person loves her husband unconditionally and does stupid shit for him.
Ya... I dunno... it's kinda iffy.
