This time around, I did not feel right that it is the woman who undergoes through the sadistic experiences. However, I got what von Trier was trying to do, which is to turn film-viewing into a spiritual experience.
Although I knew the ending, I still gasped, if that is what it was, at the pealing of the bells in the end.
