Review of Breaking the Waves (1996) by Amanda M — 16 Dec 2007
Story about a marriage of two rather odd people, set in a remote, very religious part of Scotland. Rather uncomfortable viewing at times, and the descent of Emily Watson's character is fascinating but also really depressing.
If you want an upbeat film to watch this isn't it, and even though I enjoyed watching it, it's not like u can really relate it to anything in our lives.
