It's basically Sidney Lumet's Network crossbred with a post-John Woo action flick/police procedural... and I just love how brilliantly inventive Johnnie To did with this local genre!
In short, it's Peter Finch with lot's of firepower--AND HE'S NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY LONGER! :-P.
