Review of Breaking News (2004) by Yudi J — 23 Nov 2007

A stylized, simplistic action flick that feels realistic and isn't over exaggerated like many action flicks tend to be. The acting isn't the greatest, but it doesn't take anything away from the film. A nice critique on the media and the police manipulation of the media which is a reality that might not seem as far-fetched as many might think (even though it's more with military here in the US rather than police).

Overall, great for what you get. Not familiar with Johnnie To, but I'll definitely looking into more of his films from now on.
