The movie has a direction that simply exceeds beyond the usual mundaneness of other Hong Kong movies and throws in a subtle jab into the absurdity of Asian mass media and the audience's need to be fed with its subduing information.

The prime complain is the unbelievably bad choice of lead cast that consists of mainly pop singer idols, not proper actors or actresses. Ultimately, it is the supporting cast that saves this movie in the acting department and the sleek, cutting edge and invigorating direction and script that wins through.
