Review of Breaking In (2018) by K P — 14 Jun 2018
Utterly unremarkable and so loaded down with every kind of social justice warrior "message" that , like an overloaded beast of burden, it falls to its knees and brays in pain. Let me list the examples.
The men in this movie are either weaklings or evil, but the women (even the big sister compared to the little brother) oh, they're so so strong. They're even constantly told "You are so so strong" so the audience won't miss the damned point. The only odd break with the leftist, social justice message is the way a Mexican guy is portrayed as a homicidal gang member who literally wants to rape and cut throats. Hmmm, how did THAT happen? Well, for that I will give the movie ONE star, because of the realistic portrayal of what awaits our country if we don't BUILD THE WALL and for not being completely, overwhelmingly, consistently politically correct for 100 percent of the movie.
All the same, underwhelming and unremarkable.
