Review of Breaking Away (1979) by Jezreel L — 24 Oct 2007
I'm not sure what impact the movie may have had upon its release, but today it doesn't particularly stand out from the crowd. It's simply a small-town teen story without memorable characters, settings, or events outside of the well-shot race at the end.
Everything is competent enough but I'd rather watch American Graffiti or The Last Picture Show again.
