Review of Breaking Away (1979) by Indi V — 16 Apr 2010
The film shoots two of its mainc haracters int he foot ( Jackie Earle Haley and the guy who got a bowling ball stuck in his hand) by not giving them a proper arc, but this is a nice little coming-of-age movie.
The main guy's love of Italy can be a bit irritating at times, but thats ok. Everything else makes up for it. The best performance in the film easily belongs to Dennis Quaid.
