Very unique and engaging "beyond-a-sports-movie" that blends humor and drama very well. Good performances from leads, complete with authentic cycling sequences (including an ongoing tracking shot at the climax).
Daniel Stern's first movie; also one of Dennis Quaid's earlier films. Dennis Christopher later portrayed Charlie Paddock in 1981's "Chariots of Fire," while Jackie Earle Haley recently became known for playing Rorschach in 2009's "Watchmen".
