Review of Breaking & Exiting (2018) by James B — 19 Aug 2018
Really enjoyed this film. Peter Facinelli kept the camera work fluid and it never felt claustrophobic. I was highly impressed this was his first feature. The film is better then most studio romantic comendies.
And the storyline was intriguing with a great sound track. I hope they release the songs on a soundtrack album. I'd love to purchase it. Milo Gibson makes his leading man debut and he reminds me of his dad Mel Gibson.
Charming and good looking, and his acting was well directed. Jordan Hinson stars and also wrote the screen play. I loved her in Eureka and their chemistry is undeniable. I loved the message of the film, I rooted for the characters, and Facinelli nails a great tone whick is hard to do when you have a story involving themes of suicide suicide prevention.
Watch this film. Had me from start to finish. You will certainly love it. Kudos to the actors for their performances and kudos to Facinelli for telling a compelling story, with a great cinematic style.
Look forward to seeing him direct more. My only regret is that he wasn't in it. Aside from a little Easter egg of a picture of his character from Twilight. Facinelli has been in so many films. I love his versatility as an actor.
And his leap into directing is done with ease.
