Review of Breaking and Entering (2006) by Scott T — 28 May 2008
Complex and a little flat in places, but I think perhaps this was deliberate. Jude Laws charater is just so lonely and empty in places I just wanted to grab him and give him a hug. Binoche is terrific as the refugee mother and Wright-Penn is convincing as the mother of a special need child completely blind to everything except her role as care giver.
.Not quite to Minghella's usual standard, but worth a look.
