Although the truly sexual edge of its source material is somewhat downplayed, and the sub-plots of its screenplay are a bit held back from full depth, Breakfast on Pluto benefits from witty, flashy humour and a strong central performance from Cillian Murphy as the charismatically innocent and emotionally-involving male transvestite Patrick 'Kitten' Braden.
