I think that there are a lot of people who are fans of the book and were just waiting to tear this movie down. Most of Vonnegut's books don't seem like the kind that could be translated to screen very well, but Rudolph did a pretty okay job on this.

It's not great, but it's enjoyable. The casting was spot-on for every character, and though the ending differs from the book, it's insane to expect the movie to mirror the novel word-for-word, scene-for-scene.

I was pleased with the film.
