Review of Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) by Paul D — 11 Feb 2018
This is a much more substantial film than the one I remember from my youth. Yes, it is wrapped in the skin of a light, romantic comedy - in fact it starts off as the screwball variety - but inside it touches deep human themes such as sex, independence, reinventing oneself, love and attachment.
And it's a very attractive film as well, with brilliant images. Kudos to Truman Capote, Blake Edwards, and an iconic Audrey Hepburn.
