Review of Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) by Monsieur R — 16 Sep 2010
Well, if I had to give 100 percent to any film, this might be it. Very well shot and acted, the sixties epitomized great film making. And this is one of the greats.
No special effects, no foul language, no brutal killings, no this no that. Why do we need that crap in our films. Why? Because they are substitutes for good writing, thats why.
Henry Mancini most likely elevated this film to the status it has acquired by his brillant score.
Watch it, love it. I did. And who couldn't fall in love with Ms. Holly Go Lightly? I would in a minute.
