Review of Breaker Morant (1980) by Jon B — 13 Nov 2007
Very interesting film, I like that they portrayed the Boer War-era courtroom as it likely would have been: sparse, and wholely lacking in legal justice. Morant and his friends all present excellent characters, although it is entirely possible that my favourite is the inexperienced lawyer, who, if put in the middle of a modern courtroom drama, would likely have won his case, however, the outcome of this movie is not half so pleasant.
