Review of Breaker Morant (1980) by Brian C — 15 Oct 2008
I see some comments about this being a film for History class, true, but yet this is such an amazing film. You know, in my personal opinion, the execution is the most fascinating thing, how can one shoot something without an opportunity to face and if he does face an execution, how does one live.
I really like the sense portrayed here, of humour and yet this tangential sadness and despair at the whole thing. This film really espouses a lot of wrongs in mankind and its pessimistic nature is justified more so than a film joyous is lasting in its tune.
