Review of Breakdown (1997) by Lacy M — 21 Jan 2013
T Walsh is one of those guys whose face you probably recognize, along with a lot of the supporting cast of this film (notably MC Gainey, Rex Linn, and Kathleen Quinlan). Walsh is an imposing figure here as he orchestrates a plot to kidnap Kurt Russell's wife and extort him for an exorbitant amount of money.
The film doesn't have any surprising twists and turns, but does a great job of creating genuine white knuckle moments. Kurt Russell doesn't play his normal tough guy role here. He's pretty much a regular guy who will do anything to get his wife back.
