Smart and intelligent, this is a great thriller based on true events. Excellent performances and well paced.
Eric O'Neill (Ryan Phillippe) is a young FBI agent assigned to work as a clerk to Robert Hanssen (Chris Cooper), a senior agent who is suspected of spying.
While everyone in the cast is excellent, Chris Cooper deserved an Oscar nomination for his role. His complex and hyprocritcal character is fascinating in his deviance and depth. This is a first-rate thriller all the way around.
