Review of Breach (2007) by Danny G — 30 Apr 2010

I remember quite a while ago reading about that weasel Robert Hanssen online somewhere and I had no idea that the movie Breach was about him until I actually looked into it, so going into the movie I was very interested to see how it played out.

Getting to watch the two main characters (most notably Chris Cooper) create nail biting tension by playing cat-and-mouse with each other really made the movie that much more rewarding. The only thing I wasn't to hyped about was the lack of detailed information on Hanssen's espionage in his earlier days such as how/why he started and how he approached making his Russian contacts.

I think that should have been added somewhere in the storyline for people who hadn't already read the story of Hanssen. Great movie though, I definitely recommend it.
