The movie was sensational, but I honestly don't understand the real Robert Hanssen. What would make such an ethical, moral,and religious man betray his country? Contrary to popular belief, it was not the money.
He felt under appreciated and overworked, and he wanted to prove to himself that he was smarter than anyone else. Still, the pieces just don't fit. It's something I'm going to think about for a long time.
