Review of Breach (2007) by Chris L — 16 Mar 2009
The movie starts with the real press conference where John Ascroft announces the arrest of Rober Hanssen then flashes back to tell the story. And STILL, after an hour I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out.
I had to remind myself that the guy was guilty and they got him. I watched this right after catching an episode of 24 so I was all warmed up to watch for twists and what-not. Watching through the eyes of the surveillence jock placed under Hanssen to gather increminating evidence, I was convinced to trust who he trusted, got confused when he did, and was surprised when he was.
A couple of subplots that were tightly monitored and tied neatly into the major plot. Very, very well written and executed, I thought.
