Brutal, Intense and exciting, Brawl In Cell Block 99 is an amazing flick. You can never predict what's going to happen next and this movie always has you on the edge of your seat. Vince Vaughn gives an outstanding performance and carries the movie on his shoulders.
Even when the pacing feels slow, Vaughn's performance prevents the film from feeling boring. The practical effects are amazing for the most part. Even in unrealistically violent situations, the practical effects help bring a sense of realism to the situation.
There's only one shot that lasts for a split second where you can tell a dummy was used. But that's not enough to affect the quality of the film. The writing, camerawork, fight choreography and soundtrack are all great and this film is an amazing experience that everyone deserves.
