Review of Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017) by Arseniy V — 13 Oct 2017

Not as richly layered as Zahler's earlier Bone Tomahawk (which, different as they are, this one did make me think of before I realized who the director was). Still, despite its fair share of deficiencies in most every department, this is a strong enough film - to've made for an enjoyable guy movie.

Oh and if Vaughn ever had trouble cashing in on a decent superhero/comic-book role, this will undoubtedly create some interesting opportunities.
