Review of Braveheart (1995) by Scott K — 11 Feb 2014
I suppose I'm not being fair to Mel Gibson and his picture (which you can tell he poured his hard work into), but lengthy epics are not usually my viewer forte. Still, this movie is expertly directed and, as far as epics go, Gibson does a solid job of holding the viewers attention.
It's not one of my favorite films, but it's one of those films that I appreciate for succeeding in what it set out to do.
