Review of Braveheart (1995) by Ben T — 09 Jul 2014
WOW, this film was AMAZING. This film just works, for every great battle scene, there's a very dramatic or emotional scene, for every one of those there's a very funny moment. This movie really deserves it's best picture win as does Mel for director. William Wallace was very interesting in this movie, he was funny, unpredictable and you really felt bad for him in the dramatic scenes? I won't spoil it but there is a scene within the first hour that was all to do with why Wallace started the rebellion that really made you feel bad for the guy, due to Mel Gibson's amazing performance. Overall Braveheart is a fantastic movie and one of the best movies ever made, it might be very long but it's so well paced it feels like it's only been five minutes and not 3 hours. Also 78%.
