I'm not halfway through and feel it's worth noting how historically inaccurate as well as ridiculous this movie is. Why is every man wearing a clan tartan - which didn't sprout up until several centuries later. And, what's with the mullets?
When young Murron gives young William a flower, she's what? Maybe a few years younger than him? When Mel Gibson comes riding back into town, he's like 20 years older than her.
