You'll find the same plot in the 1988 B movie "They live" by John Carpenter.
Ed Stoppard looks like a young Bruce Cambell.
Too bad the movie is not funny because it could have been very untertaining!
If you don't have enough money, avoid using special effects and try to get deeper into the psychology of the characters...
Still, it's an interesting theme and less nonsense than most of the Sci Fi blockbusters of 2012...
