Review of Branded (2012) by Robert B — 27 Sep 2015
It's actually a mild satiric drama, mixed with SciFi: I took the movie by its cover that looked intriguing. The story tells the story of a publicist in Russia on a near future, and shows his struggle against the major capitalist product brands and advertising (of course with alter egos in the film), that are shaping the population ideas.
The problem: the script is flawed, and half forward the movie lost all sense. Even the creatures that appear on the cover (and which are made with a horrible CG) are bad. Despite being a nice Russian production in general, have these major flaws that end up spoiling the movie - Russian productions has a future in movies of various genres, but needs more work in the plot and better stories.
Avoid this one.
